Wendy is originally from Southern California, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Biola University. She comes to Hope & Home after 9 years as a stay-at-home mom, and with 5 years of bookkeeping experience in non-profits and churches.
“I love working behind the scenes in an organization that has a grace-filled culture, and is making a difference in the lives of children.”
She heard great things about Hope & Home through multiple families involved with foster care at Vanguard Church. “I was taking some time off from the workplace, considering options, when I received a call from my knitting pal Farrah Frye letting me know Hope & Home was looking for an Accounting Assistant. The position was exactly what I’d been praying to find. I love working behind the scenes in an organization that has a grace-filled culture, and is making a difference in the lives of children.”
As a creative outlet, Wendy also loves designing knitting patterns. She has been published in Twist Collective and the 2013 Knitting Calendar. She and her husband, Josh relocated to Colorado in 2007 with their two children, Connor and Cosette.
