Home Supervisor 1: Colorado Springs

The Home Supervisor (level 1) supports the clinical and programmatic activities of Hope & Home by working directly with licensed foster families. They will work primarily with families who only provide respite care or who currently do not have children in their home. Hope & Home emphasizes importance on training, guidance, and support provided to foster families, which is accomplished directly through the Home Supervision Department. 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Caseload Management: 
    • Manage a caseload of foster families who provide placement or respite care to children removed from their home due to abuse and/or neglect (Home Supervisor 1 caseload = 30ish families with no children placed in the home)
    • Complete at least monthly home visits or check-ins ensuring compliance with Volume 7 Rules and Regulations and Love to Nurture parenting (in addition to all State, County, and Hope & Home requirements)
    • Build relationships with families to serve as an ally, navigator, therapist, and expert guiding them on their foster care journey.Conduct SAFE addendums at least annually for each foster home.Work closely with Faily Care Coordinators, Hope Workers, and Support Group leaders to support families and children in the Hope & Home community. 
  • Paperwork Compliance:  
    • Complete monthly reports for families and children within 48 hours of any check-in phone calls or home visits. 
    • Report all incidents and critical incidents to manager immediately.
    • Complete all renewal documents, including education documents, with families.Ensure compliance, completion, and submission of paperwork for all files. Audit all files and communicate with families regarding paperwork needs. 
  • Support Group: 
    • Help provide childcare or facilitate foster parent support groups at least two support group nights per month: 6-8pm 
  • Events  
    • Participate in family and child centered events throughout the year as specified by events team and manager.
    • Participate in fundraising events as specified by events team and individual manager. 
  • Other: 
    • Participate in required training as specified by manager. 
    • Complete on-call duties as assigned by rotation.
    • All other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in social or behavioral sciences
  • Case management experience preferred
  • Driver’s License with good driving record, this position requires driving throughout the greater Colorado Springs/El Paso County/Teller County Regions
  • Ability to pass background checks

Pay and Benefits: 

  • $18/hour
  • On-call stipend
  • Paid time off accruing immediately upon start of work and useable once accrued.

  • Enrollment in 401K after working at least one year and 1,000 hours, beginning the quarter following eligibility (must be 21 years of age to participate).

Please Note: Hope & Home’s benefit package is contributory; that is, you are responsible for a portion of the premium for your benefits. A portion of the premium, up to a maximum per month, is contributed by Hope & Home. Your contributory cost is deducted from your paycheck.
